Meet Our Retreat Leader & Therapist
Mary has worked with a variety of clients with issues ranging from neurological damage, emotional disorders, A.D.H.D, severe anxiety, P.T.S.D. and more. She is working on a new combined therapy of chromotherapy (colour /light Therapy) and hypnosis on a term coined as chromohypnosis which she is currently studying the effects of with clients, especially those with aphantasia.
Her years working in television and on other social media platforms has given her the skillsets to adapt and create new therapies especially now, as we advance with AR and VR technology. Helping clients and their families through the emotional, mental, and physical effects of cancer has been one of the most satisfying treatments of all because she has helped them take control over the pain, whether physical, mental, or emotional.

She will focus on group "Guided Meditation" sessions and journaling with a book of poetry created by the British poet Becky Hemsley for Marys' retreats. The theme is "Intuitive Healing". Her ultimate goal and philosophy is;

"The mind is the key and I want to help unlock you from the chains. Let's make that change together!"

What is an Intuitive Retreat?
What is Hypnosis & How It’s Used in Guided Meditation?
Hypnosis is a deeply relaxed state of focused awareness where the subconscious mind becomes more open to positive suggestions. It helps quiet the conscious mind, allowing deeper insights, emotional healing, and behavioral shifts.
In guided meditation, hypnosis is used to enhance relaxation, visualization, and self-discovery. Through soothing words and imagery, it helps individuals access deeper intuition, release mental blocks, and strengthen inner connection, making the meditation more immersive and transformative.
How Hypnosis Helps:
-
Helps bypass conscious limitations and reach deeper levels of awareness.Accesses the Subconscious Mind:

-
Enhances Intuition: Strengthens trust in instincts by quieting mental noise and self-doubt.

-
Releases Blocks: Clears emotional or mental obstacles that prevent intuitive growth.

-
Deepens Relaxation: Creates a calm, receptive state for inner wisdom to emerge.

-
Boosts Confidence: Reinforces self-trust and personal empowerment.
Combining the skillsets of Intuition and Foraging
An intuitive retreat is a deeply immersive experience designed to help you reconnect with your inner wisdom, the natural world, and your innate sense of self. Unlike traditional retreats that focus solely on relaxation or structured learning, an intuitive retreat encourages self-discovery, mindfulness, and personal transformation through experiential practices. By tuning into your intuition, you learn to trust your instincts, embrace presence, and move through life with greater clarity and confidence.
The Power of Foraging in Intuitive Learning
Foraging is a perfect complement to an intuitive retreat because it encourages awareness, patience, and a deep connection with nature. When you engage in foraging, you are not just gathering wild foods—you are developing skills in observation, discernment, and self-reliance.
Sensory Awareness: Foraging teaches you to heighten your senses, noticing subtle details in plants, textures, and scents—much like intuition requires tuning into subtle energies and feelings.
Trust & Instinct: As you learn to identify edible plants, mushrooms, or herbs, you build trust in your own judgment, reinforcing the same intuitive skills that guide you in life.
Grounding & Presence: Being in nature and engaging in mindful foraging grounds you in the present moment, fostering a sense of calm, connection, and inner balance.
Sustainable Wisdom: Learning how to work with nature, rather than against it, teaches patience, respect for the environment, and a deeper appreciation for the world around you.
A Perfect Harmony of Learning & Experience
Combining intuitive practices with foraging creates a holistic experience where you learn to listen to both your inner voice and the rhythms of nature. Whether you're gathering herbs for a healing tea, identifying nourishing wild plants, or simply walking mindfully through the landscape, every moment becomes a lesson in trust, balance, and attunement.
This retreat experience allows you to step away from the noise of daily life, awaken your inner knowing, and develop skills that not only nourish the body but also expand the mind and spirit.
